Tullamore Dew Honey hits four European markets later this year.
William Grant & Sons has added a honey liqueur expression to the Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey roster.
Using the brand’s flagship whiskey as its base, Tullamore Dew Honey also features natural honey sourced from Bohemia in the west of Czech. The liqueur debuts in Czech as well as Bulgaria, Germany and Slovakia in the coming weeks.
“Tullamore Dew Honey has all the depth and character of Tullamore Dew Original with an added touch of sweetness,” said the brand’s global innovation manager, Kate Webb. “With an abv of 35%, it’s the perfect drink for those who want to try a whiskey but aren’t quite sure where to start.”

Tullamore Dew’s name comes from a combination of the brand’s home town in Ireland and the initials of founder Daniel Edmund Williams.
Of the higher-profile honey-flavoured whisky/whiskey variants, Jack Daniel’s brand extension continues to sell well for brand owner Brown-Forman. In results for the three months to the end of June, reported earlier this month, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey delivered a 10% year-on-year sales rise on an increase in volumes of 11%.
