About ten years ago, Gary Kemp out of Spandau Ballet said to me, “There is a great new restaurant round the corner from us. It’s more of a café, actually. Well, a bakery. The food is Israeli/Middle Eastern mezze and they do the most incredible cakes. It’s very low-key. And the owners are lovely people too. You ought to give it a look.”
And I thought to myself, well, if this is TRUE, it sounds like it’s absolute GOLD, and I’d better review it pronto. But then a couple of weeks passed without me getting round to dropping in, and I saw Gary again and he asked if I’d been down there yet and I was like, “I DON’T NEED THIS PRESSURE ON.” So then
