Honey (played by Emma Barton) has been taking a back seat from the drama on EastEnders recently, whilst her other half, Hay (Jamie Borthwick) has been pushed into the spotlight…but not for a good reason. As his feud with Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) continues, he is struggling to keep the spark alive in his relationship as the pair of them have been bickering over what’s right and wrong. In upcoming scenes on the BBC soap, it could be time for Honey to pack her bags as it seems yet another romance is going to end up in the gutter. Could a fresh start do her good as the ghosts of her past are left behind in Walford.
In recent months, Honey has taken charge of her future, for example quitting her job at the Minute Mart because of her toxic boss Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal).
After also helping her daughter, Janet Mitchell (Grace) climb up the ladder with her modelling and acting career, the mother of two has started to think about more options for herself.
By the end of next week’s episodes of the weeknight serial drama, the beloved character has an announcement to make to Jay.
The young businessman is shocked to hear about his partner’s new venture and he issues a warning to her as he thinks it’s going to be hard work for her.
Irritated by his lack of support, Honey sets out to prove her boyfriend wrong and that she can do anything she sets her mind to.

Knowing she needs to start her own venture without any negativity, she could decide she is going to bid farewell to the Square.
This would mean bringing her relationship to an end and Jay would be utterly heartbroken at the prospect of losing his partner.
Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) always warned his ex-wife the romance would go south but she didn’t realise how quickly it would happen.
As the businessman pleads for another chance, the mother of two would stand strong and tell him she is not going to change her mind on her decision.EastEnders spoilers: Honey Mitchell and Jay Brown Felt there was more

This would not be the first time Honey has left Walford but it could probably be the last time as she believes the Square has got too many bad memories of her failed relationships.
The first time she left was in 2008 as, after three years, she decided she couldn’t be married to Billy anymore and went to live with her father.
By 2014, she was making reappearances on the soap to talk to her ex-husband about the custody of their children and how she wanted to take Will Mitchell (Freddie Phillips) to Canada to pursue a modelling career.
It was fine, to begin with, but when his contract was not renewed by the agency, Honey decided she would move back to be closer to the children’s father.
Ever since, she has been on the Square and has found herself at the centre of many high profile storylines, including developing an eating disorder and being drugged by a stranger.

EastEnders’ Rakhee Thakrar speaks out on not getting any acting work [COMMENT]EastEnders Taylor Family TreeThe decision for Honey to leave was taken out of the actress who plays her, Emma’s hands as producers thought it was time for the character to make an exit.
Although the soap star was excited to explore different opportunities in her career, in several interviews she gave she explained her dismay at having to say goodbye.
In an interview with the Daily Star, the actress said: “Despite what they thought, I honestly felt there was more mileage for her.
“But seeing as they haven’t killed her off, I guess there is still a chance she could wander back one day.
“I was so upset to be leaving. I have had an amazing time,” she said at the time and she reiterated the sentiments in another interview.
Speaking with The People, she said: “I will miss everyone and I miss going to work every day already and being part of the show.
“I’m really sad. I didn’t want to leave,” she added but producers have explored a lot of different avenues with Honey since her return in 2014.
Watching her leave as she finally becomes the confident woman viewers have always seen could be a full-circle moment for the mother of two.
Looking back on her time in Walford, she will have learnt a lot about relationships, friendships and how to stand up to bullies.
It would be sad for the actor who plays Jay, Jamie, to see his co-star leave if she does make an exit as it seems the young soap star has always wanted them to have an on-screen romance.
Explaining how he first met Emma, Jamie said: “Perry [Billy] told me to chat her up, and I remember walking over to her and saying, ‘Alright darlin’…, wow, you smell nice.’
“It brought the house down and we still laugh about it now.
“I love working with Emma. I won’t say what it is, but we have something in common that’s very rare and very special that brings us together.
“I still try and chat her up and say that one day, we’ll get married, but she’s having none of it,” the actor told The Sun.
EastEnders continues Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
