Cinnamon, especially Ceylon Cinnamon is known for its health and potent medicinal benefits. This is the reason why this spice has been used in several ancient medicines for healing and improving several ailments.
Infusing Cinnamon sticks in water helps in flushing out toxins as well as excess sugar from the body, which helps in managing blood sugar naturally. Apart from that, adding Cinnamon to warm water helps in burning the excess fat in the body. It is also linked to lowering the cholesterol level in the body, which prevents cardiac diseases and risk of stroke.
As per a research published in the Agricultural Research Magazine, adding just 1gram of Cinnamon to your diet per day can increase insulin sensitivity and manage type-2 Diabetes.
Antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties in Cinnamon can help in reducing as well as managing blood glucose level in the body. In fact, adding a small amount of Cinnamon to your daily diet can help in improving insulin sensitivity, promote better digestion, boost metabolism by flushing out toxins and inducing sleep.
To make a simple detox water with Cinnamon, just take one litre water in a glass container, add in 1 inch Cinnamon stick and 2-3 lemon slices. Keep it overnight and sip the drink throughout the day.
Alternatively, take 2 cups of water and boil it, pour this water in a glass and add in 2 pinches of Cinnamon and mix it nicely. However, make sure you consult your doctor before adding anything to your diet.
