Honey Grove, Texas — In the final district contest, the Bland Lady Tigers defeated the Honey Grove Lady Warriors, 63-47.
Honey Grove had a 16-14 lead after the first quarter, but Bland pulled in front, 29-25, at halftime. A strong finish lifted Bland to a 16-point win on the road.
Prisella Reyna poured in 27 points to lead Honey Grove, Caycee Woodard put up eight points, Tylar Lane scored six, Aniyah Smith finished with four points and Carsyn Lane pitched in two points.
Hughes had 34 points for Bland and Lopez scored 16.
