As someone who is more hair than human, hair wash night is the bane of my existence. That’s why a solid leave-in conditioner is essential in my hair care routine. So after seeing some rave reviews on social media, I had to give the Gisou Honey Infused Leave-In Conditioner a go.
The Gisou Honey Infused Leave-In Conditioner launched in July 2021 and is a multipurpose, lightweight mist.
As well as being a lifesaver between washes, it hydrates, smooths and detangles your hair. When used consistently over time, it also strengthens your hair and protects it from damage.
The conditioner contains a tag team of active ingredients that target diff issues and achieve diff results. Roll call: Mirsalehi honey (repairs damage), argan oil (hydrates and smooths), baobab extract (strengthens and nourishes) and panthenol (thickens and prevents breakage).
From straight to coily and fine to thick, the leave-in conditioner is suitable for all hair types. If you’re using it on dry hair, just make sure it’s fully dry before using heat tools like a curler or straightener.
The Gisou Honey Infused Leave-In Conditioner retails for $48 for 150ml and is available at Mecca. However, it’s sold out at the moment if that tells you anything about how good it is.

This Gisou product is a lightweight mist, so it doesn’t leave your hair feeling heavy or greasy unlike some other leave-in conditioners. It also has a lush honey and floral scent, which I can’t get enough of.
I used the leave-in conditioner both on towel-dried hair after a shower and on completely dry hair when I was a few days between washes. On wet hair, it makes brushing out knots a breeze and keeps your hair looking shiny even after you blast it with a hair dryer.
After giving my dry hair a light spray, it was visibly shinier, smoother and also smelled bloody heavenly. It also tamed my pesky flyaways that usually get more out of control the dirtier my hair gets.
I usually wash my hair twice a week, so this is a life saver to keep it looking and feeling fresh on day 3 or 4 between washes. Unlike other leave-in conditioners I’ve tried, the Gisou Honey Infused conditioner absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave it looking lank and lifeless.

The Gisou Leave-In Conditioner gets a big ol’ gold star from me.
In a feat that can only be described as a divine miracle, this leave-in conditioner transformed my unwashed tangled mop into silky locks that would make Rapunzel envious. It definitely lives up to the hype I’ve seen around Gisou products in general on TikTok and Instagram, so I can’t wait to get my hands (or hair?) onto some more.
It’s a little pricier than some leave-in conditioners, but the combined result of hydrated, strengthened and refreshed hair makes it a keeper IMO.
